Compassionate Care, Experienced Guidance
Mental Health Matters, PLLC was founded by Clarisa Anzaldua Guillen, LCSW, to create a space where therapy is both honest and healing. After years of working in mental health and rehabilitation settings, Clarisa envisioned a practice rooted in compassion, direct communication, and lasting change. Her mission is simple: help people feel seen, supported, and empowered to live with confidence and authenticity.
The Goal
Our Mission
At Mental Health Matters, our mission is simple: help you heal, grow, and maybe laugh a little along the way. We combine clinical expertise with real talk, compassion, and the occasional “did they really just say that?” moment — because therapy should be honest, empowering, and yes, even a little fun. We believe in facing hard things head-on, but never alone.
The Outlook
Our Vision
We envision a world where mental health conversations are as natural as debating the best pizza topping—open, honest, and a little fun. At Mental Health Matters, we strive to empower every person to face life’s challenges with courage, compassion, and a healthy dose of humor. Because healing is important work, but that doesn’t mean it can’t include some laughter along the way.
